The objective of this paper is a theoretical preparation for the reconsideration of a concept of “region” by analyzing Japanese and Spanish professional soccer club management. The more the relationship between region and club is examined, the more a concept of “region” becomes ambiguous, but American Anthropologist Gregory Bateson’s concept of “frame” can make the fundamental reason clear. A comprehensive case study about professional soccer club management is required and one of the best effective method of approach is the anthropological fieldwork.
